Samaritan’s Purse is ministering to Maui, Hawaii in the aftermath of wildfires. The fire erupted on August 8, 2023, when brushfires near the historic town of Lahaina, Hawaii, were blown into a fury by distant Hurricane Dora. The deadly blaze killed more than 100 residents and destroyed large swaths of the island’s most historic areas, including thousands of homes in Lahaina and the upcountry neighborhoods of Kula.
Far beyond the physical help you will extend to the homeowners, the spiritual and emotional support you offer to them is even more important.
Rebuild volunteers will work to rebuild homes damaged during this event.
